Chuck was a caring man who was easy to talk to no matter who you were. He was always looking for something that could help you in your classroom and the kids all adored him. I remember he was walking out to the field one day to check gopher traps and he had a trail of kids skipping after him carrying his shovel like he was the pied piper! He befriended a sweet old dog that followed him around and she´d wait for him outside the cafeteria everyday. It really hurt him when she got hit by a car....

Chuck was an incredible person! He was my bus driver when I was in elementary school, and as I grew older, I had the privilege of working alongside him. He was truly the heart of Washington Colony Elementary - a selfless, giving individual and an amazing friend. He will be deeply missed.
