Not sure what to say?

I met Ciba in a summer Singer Sewing Class in Great Neck. I am almost 80 years old and still remember her fondly. I remember her saying that she was the youngest and her parents took the first letter of her siblings names and came up with Ciba. Over the years I would come across her name and wonder if she was the same young girl i knew years ago. Yes!

Oh dear Ciba! I know you are enriching the universe with your ebullient creative loving spirit. I miss you but there is a part of my heart that belongs to only you. Much Love Always.

Empathy, integrity, down to earthiness...a gift and great loss.

Dear Carolyn,
I am so sad to learn of your sister's death. I have very fond memories of her as a fellow Great Necker in childhood and francophile in adult life. She impacted my children's lives as well. May you find peace at this time.
Fondly,
Diana Lu

Ciba looks and sounds like an amazing and independent woman. condolences to Carolyn, and all her family and friends she leaves behind.

Even though we didn't know Ciba very well, you talked about her and we know that you lost someone special. Please accept our condolences good neighbor. We're praying for you and your family.

Full of grace and joy, Ciba was an energy field of creativity. When Ciba walked into a room heads turned - everyone wanted to talk with Ciba. She was the essence of charm, intelligence, love and compassion and wow was Ciba fun!! She loved to laugh and celebrate life. Beautiful inside and out, Ciba leaves a void in the world because she is not here any more but for all who knew and loved Civa, she left our hearts full and blessed.

Carolyn and Ciba

Ciba worked for me in running the Smith Junior Year in Geneva in 1964-65. She was a wonderful help and we kept in touch over many years. I am saddened to hear of her death, but she will live on in my memory.
