Not sure what to say?

Bonnie,Friends and Family: Pulling up Cimarron's obituary and photo gave me a mixture of emotions. I was very fortunate to be a part of his life, from 1966 until our divorce in 1972. We met in San Francisco while working for the San Francisco Examiner. His sophistication, charm, southern manners (thanks to his dear step-father, Dan), intelligence and fabulous sense of humor won me over in a heartbeat. I was all of 21 years old, and Cim was 25. He was successful during the years we were...

Cimarron was the most charismatic man that I have ever known... it was as if there was a spot light that simply followed and illuminated him where ever he went. That deep melodious voice, his sharp wit and his intellect all made him a person that one could never forget. His multi octave version of "When the Saints Go Marching In" could get people dancing and cheering... his cartoon charactures drawn on coctail napkins are still most likely hanging in various places or pressed in someone's...

Dear Bonnie: I remember Cim from the time he was six years old--this brave little boy having to go off to military school....this was when Cim's mother and I shared an apartment in Richmond, Virginia. He grew up to be a talented, brilliant young man, and I wish I could have seen him more often as the years went by. I am so glad that you and he were together..I know that you were the most important person in his life, and he was lucky to have you with him. My fond regards and sympathy to...

Cousin Cim--I remember him from our childhood when he lived in Virginia and later when he he became that handsome young man in the Air Force uniform who came to visit me in NYC when I lived there. We've crossed paths several times since then, despite living on opposite coasts, and I know from many stories from my mother, Cammie, that you Bonnie were the rock of his life. I'm so sorry to learn third hand now of Cim's death. I didn't even know that he had been sick for several months. I will...

Rest in peace, dear friend. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Cim was a dear old friend from our days at Carmel High. My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, and family. He was one of a kind...

Cimarron, rest in peace. i used to catch your shows on knry and you always did a great job of showcasing local folks and events in the area. it was solid, community-based radio and it added greatly to our local airwaves.

Dear Bonnie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you tonight. You and I worked together at Rancho Canada in Carmel Valley. I have so many happy memories of you and Cimarron doing your radio show from Carmel venues. Singing at the Piano at Mission Ranch is my favorite. Take care.
