Mr. Poindexter was my son´s Godfather and he was so kind to our family since the day we met we love the Poindexter family and have them always on our prayers and our hearts

We will always remember Clay, with his dad and the times shared surf fishing on the Outer Banks. Our prayers to his family.

I worked with Clay many years ago. But more recently we would see each other at Starbucks and it was like no time had passed at all. Clay was a great man and I will miss him. My sympathy to the family.

Thank you Clay for sharing your journey with us through your blog. Thank you for being so vulnerable, honest and raw. It has helped so many people along the way. I enjoyed many fun times with him and the 'gang' at GDS during high school. Sending love and prayers to his brothers, son and extended family.

Our condolences to the entire Poindexter family. We have wonderful memories with them and He was my youngest son´s Godfather. Always nice to Us.

I was fortunate to get to know Claibourne over the last couple of years and he truly was a terrific guy. He always had a smile and a nice word. He will be missed.

I am terribly sorry for your loss, and will continue to think of you all.
