Clair Lisker

I did not know Mrs.Lisker had died. She was my favorite instructor. I had her in the summer of my first year. She was my saving grace. RIP Claire . I graduated in 1967 thanks to her

Clair was a 'force of nature.' She hired me as a brand-new instructor, at Kaiser School of Nursing and later, I worked with her in Nursing Education at the Oakland Kaiser. She stood by what she believed and was never afraid to say so. And, always, with a ready smile. She will be missed.

Clair was my second mother, and was a cherished friend of my family. She was always inspirational to me, and she gave me my first paying jobs at Kaiser Oakland, first as a nurses aide, then as a RN when I first graduated. She and my mother were champions for those less fortunate, and were both very active in local politics and issues. I am grateful she was part of my life. Sending condolences to the entire extended family from the Batterman’s. (Holly, Mark and Christie).❤

Petite though she was, she was a tower of strength, accomplishment and resilience. A good example of a formidable Irish woman. Faoi chúram déithe.
