Read MoreI just listened to the Unshackled story about Claire McCombs. As I looked through the list of programs, I never thought I'd see a story of someone I knew. I briefly attended GRSBM and had that initial flight with Claire McCombs. Our family listened to Unshackled on WGN and also went there to watch it LIVE! Harry Saulnier, Lucille Becker, Eugenia Price are names I will never forget!

I had the privilege of attending GRSBM and receiving flight trainging from the McCombs in the early 80s. While my life´s journey took me in other directions than aviation, the McCombs gave me many highly treasured skills and values. I am deeply grateful for all of their service in so many areas. My deepest condolances to the family.
