Not sure what to say?

Sadly, I just learned of Claire's passing. I have been dear friends with Claire's close living companion O.R. while she was teaching in Iowa. I tried to reach OR tonight, and unable to do so, I tried to call Claire. Then I learned of her passing. I loved visiting their home, phone calls, cards, letters and commitment to others. Claire was a wonderful activist and supporter of women's issues. Her loving spirit will always be a memory to me. My condolences to her family and friends. I am...

I love Claire. She and OR were two of the first people I met when I started services at WPC. She was always smiling and laughing and had a great sense of humor. One day we were talking and I told her what a wild child I was as a little girl. My mother signed me up an eitquette class. We had to sit still, act properly, and learn poems to recite. I shared with Claire that my poem was "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer. She expressed it was hers , too. So, I dedicate this poem to Claire. It will forever...

Family friend, and assistant principle at my high school. Claire was a vibrant, caring person. I appreciated all she did for me. Sending love to her family.

Claire was a lovely person! Many people are better because she was in their lives She will be missed. Sending blessing to Claire's family.

Claire was a wonderful human being. Our families shared many good times during the early 1960s when we lived in Austin. Our children were about same ages. Clair was very generous and caring. Clair was a devoted Christian and was an active participant in her church and human rights causes. I know her children and their families will greatly miss her .

Mollie and Jesse Clements both loved their lifelong friendship with Claire. As a family, the Breihans gave us a vital connection to US friends while we were in Hong Kong and India. Thank you, Claire!
