Not sure what to say?

Claire and I belonged to the same synagogue in Philadelphia. She and her husband were always very nice to me. They were very supportive when I was divorced-I still have the note that Claire sent me at that time. I noticed that she is pictured in her US Navy uniform(she and Charles both served in WWII). This old Army veteran salutes the Navy veteran and wish her eternal peace with her late husband, John and Elizabeth.

I student taught with Mrs. Levi in the fall of 1974 at school 33. I lived at 288 Hoyt St. where she kindly picked me up every morning and dropped me off every afternoon. I had a wonderful teaching experience under her tutelage and went on to have a long and fulfilling career in the Buffalo Public Schools at the Bennett Park Montessori School. Thank you Mrs. Levi.

Claire was an intelligent, well educated, dedicated teacher who raised 5 children with Charles, her adoring husband. Family was her top priority. After losing their son John, she and Charles received a heart felt send off in Buffalo to begin their new life in Philadelphia with daughter Sue and her family. Forever grounded in Buffalo, Claire forged a new life in the City of Brotherly Love. Family and friends supported her through the loss of her husband and daughter. Over time came...

I knew Claire when we were both rookies as teachers at School 76. I remember most her positive attitude and her strong voice of encouragement to all. As a yet to be father, I marveled how a woman who was wife, then mother of many could manage a professional career. We laughed at the then long haired males who were going bald early- marveled at having a home with an elevator- and commiserated on the tribulations and joys of teaching.

I did my student teaching under Mrs Levi. She taught me so much She was a very gifted teacher.
