I just learned of the untimely passing of a dear childhood friend. I lived on Railroad Street, a short distance from Claire's house. I have fond memories of our grade school years together and her wonderful birthday parties. It was a joy to be her friend. Although we lost touch when they moved out of town, our family never forgot the Juppenlatz family. My older sister Grace was one of their FAVORITE babysitters; thus, Claire's name lives on in the spirit of one of my my nieces who was...

Dear Paul and family,
Shock seems the word that everyone shares at this very sad news. Bruce and I enjoyed spending time with the both of you at the class reunions. Claire was so easy to talk to and enjoy the evening with. I know Bruce and her had a long talk about the AOD pits at the steel mill. He was happy to know someone who understood what he did for a living and she was surprised to see someone list it in the directory. What a wonderful woman!
Please know how sorry we are...

Dear Paul, Jane and Stuart,
I was shocked and saddened when I heard of Claire’s passing. She was a very good friend, and, although we haven’t been close for many years (marriage and careers do that), I will always remember that. I still tell people that Claire, Barb, Karen and I played in the same playpen together while our mothers played bridge together.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of a much-loved wife, daughter, sister and friend.

We were so sorry to hear of Claire's illness and untimely passing. I know her from playing golf. She had such a quiet sense of humor and lovely presence. Our condolences go to the entire family.

I had the opportunity to know and serve with Claire in regionsl, state and national forums over the past nine years. It is with very heavy heart that I reflect on her passing. I experienced Claire as a gentle soul who carried deeply about what she did. Her word was good, she honored her committments and she volunteered for jobs when others wouldn't. My heart goes out to you -her family who must feel her loss so keenly. As the quakers say "I will hold you in the light, as I did Claire".

Claire and I were friends during childhood years when Claire still lived in Myerstown. I remember our sleepovers and helping at the Good Samaritan street fair, making taffy lollipops and selling lemons with peppermint sticks, which I have also used over the years for fundraisers! My sincerest condolences to Claire's family. I will continue to remember Claire fondly, especially for that bright smile! Bonnie Gunden, Amarillo, Texas

Claire was a childhood friend of mine in elementary school. We both lived on South Railroad St in Myerstown & I remember going to each other's houses to do homework & play. I will remember her fondly.
