Claire J. Zakrzewski, 88 of Rutherford and formerly of Jersey City passed away on December 14, 2025. She is predeceased by her parents Josephine and Joseph as well as her siblings Victoria Jurusz and Frank Zakrzewski.
After graduating high school from St. Michael's Jersey City, she worked at New York Bell Telephone Company, Allied Chemical, Kiddle Fire and Safety Company and for 32 years worked at Ford Motor Company where she retired at a youthful age.
Claire loved to frequent antique stores collecting meaningful pieces over the years that she proudly displayed in her home. She loved to travel with friends and joyfully attended her high school class reunions.
She is survived by her sister Sophia Garrett and eleven nieces and nephews, as well as several grand nieces and nephews. Her legacy is not just in the stories we share but the lives she touched with her generous heart.
