Clara Mae Adkins, 57, of Galveston, Texas, a retail clerk with Goodwill Industries, passed away from this life at John Sealy Hospital on Friday, September 29, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 6, 2000, beginning at 4 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m., at the Chapel of E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary, 3828 Avenue O, Galveston. A home going celebration is scheduled for Saturday, October 7, 2 p.m., at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Tim Sykes. Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, October 10, 11 a.m., at Houston National Cemetery.
