Clara joined the wonderful Wyoming Park neighborhood of Meyer Avenue in 1956. In the summer of about 1957 "us kids" decided to race from Rozema's yard to Groelsema's front porch. I don't know who won the race, but I dove into the corner of the porch and split my head open. Clara took me to a doctor in Grandville to get stictched up.
