Clara D. Halstead, age 79, passed away December 6, 2008.
Clara was born May 15, 1929, to Clay "Dean" and Eva (Lear) Rowe in Logan, Iowa. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Council Bluffs.
Clara was preceded in death by her husbands, Hartzell W. Broughton, William Agnew and Richard Halstead; sisters, Marjorie Thoms and Ruby Huff.
Clara will be sadly missed by her children, Lou Wanda Duff (Alexander), Carolyn Falke (David), Sharon Broughton (Dennis), Hartzell D. Broughton (Janet), and James Broughton (Christa); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, MaryAnn Vawter; brother, Clifford Rowe; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery in Logan, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
