Clara G. Hawkins
age 94 years of Media, Pa. on February 1, 2014 at her home in Media, Pa. Born in Phila, Pa. she was raised in Kennett Square, Pa. and moved to Media, Pa 64 years ago, where she raised her family with her husband, the late George Hawkins.
In 1940 she graduated from the Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nursed until her retirement in 1996. She was a long time member of Nativity B.V.M. Parish in Media. Mrs. Hawkins was an avid reader, enjoyed bird watching, loved to cook and prepare meals for her family and she enjoyed walking for exercise. She was accomplished in solving crossword puzzles.
Survivors: 5 children, Kathleen (David) Harple, Bruce (Terry) Hawkins, Nancy Mattner, Marie Hawkins and Ellen Hawkins. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Patricia Morgan Graefe, Eric Morgan, Christine Scherer, Jean Marie, Daniel and Thomas Hawkins and her 2 great grandchildren, Hannah Morgan and Jack Morgan.
Service: her funeral mass at Nativity BVM Church will be private, and burial will be with her late husband George Hawkins in Calvary Cemetery.

To all the family of Aunt Clara, my heartfelt condolences. Aunt Clara was in incredible woman who lived a very full life. I will miss her dearly but will think of her often. Love to you all.
