Read MoreClara was a good woman, a good soul. When I would visit her at the Jeanne Jugan Residence, I loved to make her laugh! I spent some time with her alone when she first took a turn for the worst, but regretfully, I was away when she passed away and did not know until much later. May Our Lord have mercy on her soul.

Clara and I were distant Loux cousins, and began corresponding and phoning several years ago. I also visited her a few times, always sharing lunch and listening to her memories. She always answered letters promptly with lots of news. I always admired her ability to persevere with her many puzzles. My condolences to the many generations who loved her.
