Read MoreI met Clara in 1989 during an interview with Ms. Thomas at the Science Materials Center. Clara made me feel welcome from day one, and taught me everything I needed to know. One the best bosses ever. I would see her occasionally at the Downtown library where I was employed. Thankful to have had her in my life.

It was a deep sadness that filled me when I saw the name on this obit. I have been gone from Midland for a few years but I vividly remember Clara. We met through our MISD jobs. We shared talks, meals and laughter when we were housed in one of the old school buildings on Florida Street. This was one of the kindest, most unselfish ladies I’ve ever met.
