Saler, Clara M. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 7 at age 85. Beloved wife of Bernard for 66 years. Dear mother of Judith Saler-Morris, Richard Saler, and Thomas Saler, and mother-in-law of Mary Dykstra. Preceded in death by daughter Judy, parents Stanley and Sophie Paskowicz, and brother Raymond Paskowicz. A woman of uncommon strength and kindness, Clara had three overriding loves: God, family, and music. She was deeply involved in her church, bringing flowers from her rose garden and photographing and archiving parish functions. As wife and mother, she was selfless, loving, and unfailingly supportive. An accomplished musician, Clara took particular pride in the growth of the hundreds of pianists she taught over a career spanning seven decades. Yet while no musical detail escaped her attention, Clara's quest for perfection never came at the expense of her humanity. Her students remember Clara as much for her warmth and caring as for the musical lessons she imparted. Now she teaches piano to the angels, who will learn much about music-and even more about love. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, February 14, from 4PM until the time of remembrance at 7PM. Visitation Friday, February 15, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (12130 W. Center St., Wauwatosa), from 10AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Joseph Congregation, Waukesha Symphony Orchestra or Master Singers of Milwaukee would be appreciated. Not sure what to say?

Clara touched our lives in many ways. We will miss her sweet smile and kind words. When we hear a great piano piece played, we will smile as we remember her. Our prayers are with Bernie, Rick, and Tom.

My heart is truly overwhelmed with sadness by our loss of Mrs. Saler. The constant joy that she brought into our lives will never be forgotten. As a fellow pianist and teacher, she was a role model for me and I consider myself fortunate to have known and loved her.

My love to both Rick and Mr. Saler, and the rest of the Saler Family
