Mrs. Clara Mae Poole Stroupe, 77, of Rutherford College, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at her residence, following a brief illness. Clara was born on December 2, 1941 in Ashe County to the late Dillon Arthur Poole and Clyde Howell Poole. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and served as a homemaker for her entire family. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Stroupe of the home, and two daughters, Robin Stultz of Hickory and Leanne Earp(Jimmy) of Rutherford College. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Taylor Mull, Kristin Earp(Andy), Bethany Bryant(Dustin), Clint Spinks, and Dillon Beaver, three great-grandchildren, Carter and Kinley Alford, and Maci Ryan, 12 furry grandchildren, and honored, special friends, Roger and Bobbie Adams, Lois Greene, and Renee Sain. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese, with a private graveside service to follow. We are so sorry for the loss of Clara. She was such a dear friend to us, especially our Mother Lois. Mom and Clara knee each other for almost 60 years. Our prayers for all the family especially Jerry, Robin, and Leann.
