Clarence Barbee Obituary

January 25, 1935 - June 6, 2016
SGM Clarence H. Barbee, U. S. Army (ret.), age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday June 6, 2016. He is the eldest son to James and Evelyn Barbee. Mr. Barbee is survived by his wife, Margaret of 51 years of marriage; three children, Evelyn Fordiani, John Barbee, and Theresa Chini; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Steves, Daniel Fordiani, Chris Barbee, Janese Olvera, Tallora Soriano, Shea Barbee, Michael Barbee, and Ilyas Chini; and great grandchild, McKenzie Steves.
Clarence Sergeant Major (E-9) who served 26 years in the U.S. Army. He is a veteran of the Vietnam Wars, where he earned several medals, including the: Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and the National Defense Medal.

After his retirement, he would spend his time playing Yahtzee and watching wresting with his family and friends. Although he had retired, the discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army has never left him.
Visitation will be 9 am, Thursday, June 16, 2016 with the Funeral Service to follow at 10 am at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.sunset
funeralhomesa.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

God speed to you, Clarence Barbee. Your service to this nation will not be forgotten. The endless love you gave to your family as a husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather will last forever. The light of this world will never be as bright as it was when you were with us. Heaven received an honorable man with a heart deeper than any ocean.
