Clarence Edward (Buddy) Beuerlein
1925-2021
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Clarence Edward (Buddy) Beuerlein, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who slipped away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of December 2, 2021, at the age of 95. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martina Beuerlein; daughters, Michele and Karen; sons-in-law, Cary and Paul; grandson, Jamie; granddaughters, Sasha, Logan and Kylie; younger brother James Michael Beuerlein; and many extended family members.
Buddy was born at home on the family farm in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee in 1925, the tenth of eleven children, nine living to adulthood. Growing up, he and his siblings spent a lot of time helping their parents on the farm, though he still made time to play baseball and was even recruited as a pitcher by the team formerly known as the Cleveland Indians....
At times, Buddy left the farm to work with his brothers for Koss Construction, building interstate highways. He subsequently enlisted in the Air Force in 1950, serving as a sergeant during the Korean War.
After 4 years, Buddy left the service and, having always been mechanically inclined and an engineer at heart, he took a job with Boeing in Seattle, Washington for one year. Realizing he preferred the sunshine, he headed to California and began a 32-year long career with Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, which took him overseas to Germany for 6 years, where he met his wife and started a family. Upon returning to the states in 1968, he and his family settled in Granada Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles, California, where he resided until his death. Buddy was a lover of airplanes and automobiles, and was known for being able to build anything and fix anything. He was an avid baseball fan, a woodworker, and a devout Catholic who was involved in his church community for many years. Among the many ways he'll be remembered, will be for his beautiful smile, his gentle nature, and his devotion to his family. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and favorite uncle to many, we will miss him dearly.
Due to the current pandemic, the family will be holding a private mass and burial and will hold a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in support of dementia research.

Danke Bud

I have so many amazing memories with Grandad. It was always so much fun to go Easter egg hunting, bake Christmas cookies, assemble and disassemble his toy airplanes, and just be with him in general. During Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, he would pretend that his sparkling apple cider was wine, acting tipsy as he asked for a refill. I will always remember times spent with Grandad, and he will be missed greatly.

Uncle Buddy was beloved by his family. He was an amazing man with a beautiful smile. I will always remember Uncle Buddy's kind and gentle nature and his devotion to his dear wife, daughters and grandchildren. Uncle Buddy was always very popular with his siblings and relatives. In his early years, Uncle Buddy was known as the guy who could do anything, such as riding his bicycle backwards around the farm or standing on a mule as it walked down to the river. As an adult, Uncle Buddy was known...
