Goodbye, Clancy. I am so grateful to you for all that you gave to us as a community of scholars and human beings! I'm thankful for the many ways you did it -- with brilliance and humor. To Cybele and all of Clancy's family, and to his closest friends, please accept my most sincere condolences.

So sorry for your loss and I am thinking of all of you! Love, Willie R Lykes Holt

I am very sorry to hear this news. Your research will continue to inspire people for generations. Your research and thinking has had an enormous impact on the field, and on my own research. I found your talks inspiring and your work set me on a path to want to know why we see inequalities in executive functions. You work and ideas will live on.

I will always remember Clancy for giving so much good into the world in the time he was allotted. He showed people that one can be an excellent developmental scientist and teacher while also being kind, generous and joyful. My heart goes out to Cybele, his children, and those who loved Clancy but lost him too soon.

Clancy was an amazing person, friend, and researcher. Like many of us who knew him during graduate school, we fondly watched his stellar, prolific career with great awe. I am forever grateful to have known him, to have been his colleague and classmate. Rest in peace Clanc-Man!
