Not sure what to say?

I learned that Ed died only recently but it was most sad to me, he was so nice. In the 60's, beginning in '65 for me, the Church studio was where so many bands went to record in Alabama. I recorded my first songs there, many bands did the same. There's got to be dozens & dozens of promo 45rpm's bands did there like ours. Ed was real helpful to me in doing that, recording was a wonder to us. In the early 70's, I did some songs in English village with Don Mosely & Ed & Don hired me on a couple...

I´m so sorry to hear of your loss. Ed was one of the kindest and most compassionate persons Ive had the honor to know. No matter what the situation, he always saw and was the silver lining. He always spoke so highly of his children and grandchildren. Thanks you for the beautifully written and heart felt obituary.

So sad to hear about Ed's passing! Ed was truly an iconic figure who left his impression on three generations of advertising people. I was lucky to have been one of them.

What a great guy. Always met me with a smile. I spent a lot of time at Boutwell Studios doing commercials and always enjoyed being around Ed, daughter Nancy and his talented studio family. Thanks for all the good times. Johnny Sisty

Ed, I only knew you for fifty years. But what great years! Go forth among the stars.

I will always remember how considerate and what a great coach Ed was when I went into his studio to do voice work (even though I was not very good). He treated me with the same respect, patience and kindness he had for the "great voices" of Bham. We will all remember Ed as one of the most charming, caring and talented gentleman in the industry!

Ed was a wonderful person. He always came to you and gave you a big hug. I really liked him and he was a wonderful addition to the Amateur Radio community.

Ed and his studio did lots of quality work for Luckie & Company over the years. Great guy who was talented and a credit to our industry.Thoughts, prayers and God Bless.
