My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of "Uncle Bud" as all the members of the Gospel Prophets were asked to call him. I had the Great privilege of meeting Mr. Clarence J Brown as well as living nearby. "Uncle Bud" was like the light at the end of the tunnel. He was very active and a busy man. But he was always willing to lend a helping hand or give advise. Between Uncle Bud and Jean Gordon, the Gospel Prophets went to Washington D C and sang on the White House steps. I will...

My thoughts are prayers are with the family. I worked at the Western Star in 1995 until transferring to the Middletown Journal a few years later. Mr. Brown would send us hand signed birthday cards every year. My birthday being in January, I remember one year he was in the hospital with pneumonia, I still got a card that year. I enjoyed my time there working for the Brown family.

She lived next door to the Brown family. . Her Mom was not there and father couldn´t cook so, out of his kindness, he cooked us a very delicious breakfast. I later bought property close to the Browns and learned of his career advancements. While in Washington DC we helped keep him informed of his property safe keeping. He was what...
