JUST AROUND THE BEND (a poem)

Over the years I've often wondered and asked about you; today I learned you had made it through. Your family, friends and classmates like me are saddened to hear of your homegoing, it's true; however, it is a journey we one day will have to make too. So to that I say so long, my friend, 'til we meet again...just around the bend.
