My condolences to the family on behalf of the Hardy family of Carolyn and Blanton. I will always remember him from my youth as the one who was always looking out for me and my mother. He was truly known in the community as one that was known in the community. May God grant Him eternal rest and may God comfort the hearts of the Lipscomp family.

This man greatly influenced me with his positive attitude towards life and love of all that knew him. We called him "Shorty". When we first met Shorty, he called himself an Alley Lizard because he would drive his truck behind my Dad's small businesses looking for scrap to sell. My dad and Shorty were friends even after dad left his small business. After Dad's passing, Shorty faithfully called my mom every Sunday morning to check on her.
