Not sure what to say?

Though it's been four decades, I can clearly recall Lynn's good humor and joy for the river. He and I taught a few canoeing classes together, and he made it FUN for everyone. Lynn also connected me and with the best dog of my life. I don't recall whether he was the breeder or simply the conduit to this awesome pooch, but I'll always appreciate that memory. Sending love to Donna, the family and friends of Lynn.

I am so sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. He was totally instrumental in helping me start James River Experiences. We taught canoeing togeather at Randolph Macon College. Made his many canoes available for me for instruction. He loved the James River and was very involved in making it what it is today enjoyed by thousands.

I played football with gator at elon univ. He was certainly a great player and teammate.he was the life of the party great sense of humor and full of laughs!!! Rip gator!!Gator!!! Donna I am very sorry for your loss!!! Harry faust

The Newcomb Family has been a part of my life. Lynn's parents and mine were good friends and we all grew up in Woodland Heights Church. Ann gave a baby shower for me. I have followed Lynn's career, and have deep respect for all that he has done for the Chesterfield County School system. It is with sadness that I read about his passing, especially since I am out of town and unable to be there. Deepest sympathy to the family. Dona Spencer Link

Thank you to The Newcomb Family for sharing such a wonderful description of dearest Lynn Newcomb, truly a special person indeed. May the family cherish and embellish memories and stories of his many contributions and gifts, freely given and shared with others. In peace and hope, - The Basmajian Family

God bless your Family. Lynn was a fantastic educator. As years went by my wife (Elly) and I wondered who would be the person to replace Lynn as the keeper of the lights at the Cathedral. Lord bless Lynn and his family may he rest in peace Amen.
