Clarence was born in Mining City, Kentucky on July 15, 1941, the son of the late Victor K. and Freeda J. (Bradley) Pendley. Clarence retired from General Motors – Pontiac Division in 1997 after 32 years of service. He proudly served in the United State Air Force from 1/1961 to 1/1965. He was a very caring, generous, wonderful man and a blessing to all who knew him. He was full of surprises. You never knew what might come out of his mouth, but you always knew it would make you laugh. He seemed to be able to fix anything and had a love for old clocks and clock repair. He took great pride in caring for his beautiful home and property. He had a nickname for all of his favorite restaurants, and spent hours "shuckin’ and a jivin’" to his favorite music. He loved being surrounded by family and dear friends. He especially cherished spending time with his granddaughters, and would never turn down the opportunity for a visit and a dinner date.

Surviving are children, Shari Pendley, Steve and wife Tina McPherson and Bill McPherson;

Grandchildren, Danielle and husband Tom Fahrenbruch, Samantha and husband Mason McIntosh, Krissy and husband Ian Boothe, Corinna Colunga, Vanessa Colunga, Joey Zanone;

several great-grandchildren;

brothers, Daniel and wife Phyllis Pendley, Ronald and wife Sally Pendley;

sister, Wanda and husband John Grapentine;

several nieces, nephews and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Judith, on August 1, 2011 and infant son, Richard David Pendley.

Special thank you to the Medical ICU at Ascension Genesys.
