Not sure what to say?

Denise, I just found this page. I was going through old photos of Diane's and came across some of you and Larry - it was the day we slaughtered the chickens. We got a discussion going on FB and so I searched a little. Was sad to find this. He was a great guy and I am sad to find out he is gone. If you like, reach out to me at edgar at edcayce dot com.

Wow! What wonderful words and thoughts about Larry. After reading the entries, I'm finding it difficult to find something about Larry that hasn't already been shared. His VAST knowledge was what intrigued me most. No matter what the subject was,he always knew just a bit more than most about it. He always gave me something to think about after our conversations and most of all he NEVER made me feel less intelligent than he. I wish I could be a mouse in the corner of the place in heaven that he...

I am now settling back into a home routine of sorts after returning from the Texas funeral of my dear friend Larry Pruitt. I couldn’t bring myself to write anything in this space before the funeral; perhaps because it just didn’t seem real from so far away.
I’m not sure I have really accepted the fact of his death even now, although we spent some time with Denise in their lovely home in Garland and his absence was palpable the whole time we were there. We, like Denise, just kept busy;...

Denise - We will all miss Larry, and remember him for the good man he was! Having the privilege to share these past 30 years with you guys is priceless to me. I know God will bless you with His peace and comfort in the days and years to come, and with the memory of your full lives together. My deepest sympathy..

I met Larry in 1999, when I was looking for a place to operate my nail business. I called him to ask if I could lease out a space at the Crop Shop, and he very professionally held the receiver away from his mouth and yelled to Denise and Eve, "Do ya'll care if Keri comes to do nails here?" He quickly returned and said, "sure, kiddo". And that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Larry was hillariously witty, and always had an opinion on random topics-he even knew the answer to the...

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Denise,

I always looked forward for my sessions with Larry. If I ever loved a barber it was Larry. He could cut the hair of a boy from Arkansas better than anyone I ever knew. But the joyful part was the jawing sessions, when we tried to out- Arkansas each other. It was our unspoken agreement to enjoy and entertain each other that way. And we really poured on the performance when we knew another customer wondered about what they were hearing. We really tried to knit their...

Larry was a very quiet and modest man. He was a great reader of literature, with a large home library of books. He selected a young lady from Switzerland, Denise, as his wife of 34 years. Larry, you will be missed by many. Denise, we will all keep you in our thoughts and prayers. - The Ben Stephens Family
