Clarence Edgar Reel III

48 of Beech Grove finally found long-awaited relief and release from the chains of addiction Wednesday, October 11, after a brief incapacitation. Born at Community East, "Eddie" -- he despised using his legal first name, so much that many of his friends never even knew it -- proudly lived his entire life in Central Indiana, but saw plenty of the world through the windshield of the trucks he drove for decades. He was preceded in death by his wife Jody, with whom he shared a lifelong love that was as deep as it was complicated. They are survived by their three children: Isabella of Trafalgar and Clarance, IV, and Julia of Beech Grove; other survivors include his mother Carol Jean Reel and father Clarence Edgar Reel, Jr. He would insist that we have not "lost" him, but that he will be "right where we left him."

Visitation will be held Suday October 15th from 2:00-5:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove Chapel followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM in the funeral home. He would not want us to say "Goodbye" but rather "See ya later." Guests are asked to wear something purple, as that was his favorite color. Gentlemen are strictly prohibited from wearing neckties, as he hated them intensely and wouldn't want anyone else to be uncomfortable on his behalf.
