Strobel, Clarence George, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Passed away Wednesday evening June 18, 2003 at his home. Age 78 years. Clarence was born February 15, 1925 in Richville, Michigan. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are three sons, Clarence (Renee) Strobel Jr., Birch Run, Mich.; Larry A. Strobel, Issaquah, Wash.; Leonard J. (Gail) Faust, Elkart, Iowa; two daughters, Miriam S. (Chris) Cressman, Seattle, Wash.; Carol Hiat, Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Edwin Strobel, Caroline Wood, Jack Strobel, Arlee Ann Colosky and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister and three brothers, Frieda Petty, Rudolph, Otto Jr. and Donald Strobel. Funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2003 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth. Rev. Kevin Walker will officiate with burial in St. John's Cemetery. The family of Clarence will receive visitors on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Stained Glass Window Fund.
