I fondly remember my best friend's dad as a kind and gentle man. I had no idea that he won an Emmy Award, I just knew that he worked for NBC and had the news crew film Nicki and me playing with Fisher Price Little People on the Wilkins front sidewalk as a backdrop for the evening weather report.
