Not sure what to say?

Miss Pound-you were my math teacher in high school at Grand Ledge-one of the best teachers ever. I loved math but was not the best at it; but I know I was better at it and understood it better because you were such a wonderful teacher. You were sweet and kind and I loved you.

I remember bringing a skateboard to her class when I knew skateboards weren’t allowed (a trouble maker?). She took it away and jumped on it, trying to break it in front of everyone. She fell and I was sent to the office and got in big trouble. She was a great math teacher and I often regretted being such an idiot in her class. ❤RIP Miss Pound.

Miss Pound was one of a kind who enjoyed teaching and loved her students. Her students were her children and she treated them with love and compassion. She fueled my passion for learning and challenged me to understand everything about math. Miss Pound is the reason behind my love for math and why I decided to pursue my bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering. Her legacy continues through the lives of everyone she has touched. Sincere condolences to her family and...

She was a great and kind teacher.

She was an amazing teacher. I had her my freshman year at Sawdon. She taught me to love math. She was the best teacher I have ever encountered. Bless you and Rest In Peace

One of the most caring, patient, and thoughtful teachers I've ever had. We weren't just a number to her. She was one of a kind. God bless you, Ms Pound.

I was in her first hour Algebra I Class starting in September 1950. I went on to obtain my BS in Math/Physics from Michigan State. Miss Pound was an excellent teacher and caring person.

A rare and unforgettable woman -- a scholar, a patient and empathetic teacher, and all-round gentle woman. Respectful of her students regardless of their junior high insanities, she taught math as an invitation into a fascinating other world. She and Mrs. Walsh provided my most positive lessons and memories from those funny, vulnerable years. Thank you, Ms. Pound. You live on in many grateful hearts. - Jean Catto Hildreth

Best teacher ever!!! She is the reason I loved mathematics.
