     Clarine Justice, 97, of Memphis, TN, previously of Huddy, KY, died on July 31, 2018.


   She was born in Coeburn, KY, the daughter of Ellis and Mariah Blackburn, deceased.


     Clarine was married to Burbage Justice (deceased) and they had 4 children; Doralene Justice (deceased), Arlene Cole (Lonza, deceased), Fort Peirce, FL., Nolene Moyer (Carl), Fort Lauderdale, FL, Durunda Baldwin (Charles), Collierville, TN. She is survived by her brother; Roscoe Blackburn (Joy), Huddy, KY, and her sister, Corrine Neace (Don, deceased), Slater’s Branch, KY, and was preceded in death by 12 other siblings: Mayo, Woodrow, and Fonso Blackburn, Theola Williamson, Cleo Varney, Aline Varney, Pauline Justice, Emogene Justice, Mary Moses, Virginia Phillips, Della Wilson, and Yvonne Little.


     Clarine enjoyed her grandchildren: Eric Baldwin, Heather Elkins (deceased), Caleb and Nathan Moyer, and Renee Montgomery and her great grandchildren: Mandy, Robbie, Mateo and Nikolas, Curtis, Oliver and Isaac, and a host of nieces and nephews.


     Clarine and Burbage were married for 53 years and together managed several businesses including the iconic Justice Drive In. Clarine thoroughly enjoyed her large family and the many friends she made as a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ and later at the Forest Hill Church of Christ. She moved to Memphis in 1996 and resided in Kirby Pines Retirement Community.


     Clarine enjoyed traveling, often with her friend Evelyn Hurley, and toured most of the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. A favorite was spending time every fall in the Smoky Mountains with her grandchildren-frequently admonishing, “You polecats better wash your hands!”


     Services will be held at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, KY. Visitation is 6-9 on Sunday, August 5. Funeral services is 11 AM, Monday, August 6, with Bob Werntz officiating, burial following at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is serving the Justice family.
