Claris A. Johns, 66, Anderson, died April 14, 2003 at her residence after a sudden illness.

She was born on April 28, 1936 in Anderson. She lived in Anderson until moving to St. Cloud, FL in 1986. In July of 2002 she returned to Anderson.

She was a homemaker and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Pamela L. (husband, Ronald D.) Richardson, of Alexandria, Susan (husband, Jim) Kinley, of Kokomo, and Danell (husband, Jim) Witmer, of Bloomington; nine grandchilden, Robyn M. Brown and Jake Brown, both of Anderson, Ben Richardson, of Alexandria, Jennifer Kinley, Andrea Kinley and Austin Kinley, all of Kokomo, Jon-Erik Misz and Danica Misz, of Bloomington, and Ashley Witmer, of Chesterton; great grandson, Zachary Burkett, of Anderson; Vickie Christ, of Anderson; four brothers, Clarence (wife, Joyce) Warmke, of Anderson, Floyd (wife, Margaret) Herrmann, of Evansville, Kenneth (wife, Betty) Warmke, of Jacksonville, FL, and Bill (wife, Judy) Warmke, of Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Genevieve Warmke; husband, Frank Morris Johns; and brother, Fred Warmke.

Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.

Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
