Not sure what to say?

What a thrill watching Jethrow play! My dad had a friend who also worked security at the. Coliseum. He got us to the player entrance. I remember Billy Smith refusing to sign my book, next is Gillies he laughs and said" don´t pay attention to him he´s always in a bad mood" big smile on his face signed my book etc great guy. Also remember his size and he wore a full length mink coat! I´m 59 and remember that moment a real thrill thank you Clarke for great childhood memories GO islanders!

Sincere condolences to Gillies family, friends & teammates. Jethro will be missed but never forgotten as a true gentleman & ambassador to the game of hockey- definitely the most respected player both on and off the ice. So glad I got to meet him on several occasions & let him know that as a diehard Isles fan, I attended the ‘80 playoff game in Boston where he fought O’reilly 3 times.
Forever in our hearts RIP Capt. Jethro #9
