I'm so sorry to hear about the death of Jim. I remember him from my years working at Braeside Plastics. It was always a pleasure when he visited. He was a kind man with a great sense of humor. Rest in Peace Jim.

I was just thinking about how much all of us from Oswego East High School loved Bill Gutman and as I was looking through some old paperwork, I found Jim's phone number. I thought I would look him up just to say hi. I'm saddened to find the news that he has passed but.... I can only imagine the smiles that he is bringing to the heavens! He was the kind of man that you could meet once and you had a friend for life. I know it has been a while since his passing but... we never truly get over...

They broke the mold when they made Jim. Marketing ace par excellence. All of us in the marketing/promotion world loved and respected him. Heartfelt condolences for your loss of a very special man.

Mr. Gutman was a true gentleman and always a welcome presence in the Channel 5 sports office when he visited his son, the late Bill Gutman, a longtime producer at CH5. Jim always had nice things to say and that continued in the recent time since Bill's passing. My sincere sympathy to Tom and all the family. Mr. Gutman was one of those people I always enjoyed seeing or hearing from.

Jimmy will be missed by all, and most especially by my dad, Bob Deutsch -- best friends for 87 years!
