Not sure what to say?

Porter was my Grateful Dead buddy. RIP

I am so sorry, i just now got a feeling to look porter up, I met him and became very goods friends with him at Marion Institute.. Circa 1974 ,we were together alot enjoying music in our rooms or just hanging out. I went to Berry and graduated same year as Port.. Thats what we called him. we had a great time at Marion Mark OBarr [email protected]

One of the finest men I can say I've remained best friends with for 50 years. Porter lived a selfless, compassionate and adventurous life. His love for family and faith will carry-on. Condolences for all who love Po. Sail On Po.

Porter had a unique charisma that made others feel comfortable and welcome. I recall camping next to him one year at Barber Motorsports Park -- my wife and I were in our Airstream travel trailer, while Porter was in his vintage Dodge Travco motorhome. We had a great time getting to know Porter that weekend, and thereafter always enjoyed seeing him at club events. His warmth, hospitality, and friendship will be greatly missed.

Karen, Porter made everyone feel so special and every time you greeted him he always had a smile on his face. It was an honor to know him.

Karen, I am sending hugs and thoughts your way.

What an amazing and awesome friend to many, always made me and my family feel welcome at PCA events. You guys are in our prayers. Mark Smith

Karen, We cannot imagine the loss you and the family are feeling. Our prayers will be with all of you. Porter was an incredible person and a wonderful friend to everyone he met. His passing will be deeply felt throughout the community. He has left an incredible list of contributions in everything he has done. To say he will be missed in the Alabama PCA is a monumental understatement. Our loving condolences, Don & Fran
