Not sure what to say?

Mr Manning was a special teacher. He allowed those who could to excel. Our senior year at North Muskegon (1973), he picked a play especially for the characters in our class. He made a difference.

Dortha and family, I will never forget the times that I spent with your dad, mom and brother. I know that they are so happy to be reunited again. I loved them all dearly and I thank you for sharing them with me and my children. We hold the fondest memories of our times together and your dad bringing me shortbread as a wedding gift was the greatest. RIP friend.

THOUGHTS and PRAYERS go out to his family. What a wonderful person he was. I along with my brother Don and sister Becky had the honor to have him as a teacher in the early 70's. He was so helpful and understanding. WHAT AN AWESOME TEACHER HE WAS.

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Manning as my English teacher at NMHS- what a wonderful teacher. I will never forget him or his love of the classics.

I had the honor of having Mr. Manning for my English teacher when I was in 11th grade at NMHS... a LONG time ago...Oh....that voice...I've never forgotten it. He was one of my favorite teachers.

You were truly a great teacher. You will be missed by everyone that knew you. We all will forever hear your amazing one of a kind voice in our heads. Thank you for all you taught so many!! Thoughts and prayers to your family.

I was also very lucky to have Mr. Manning as a teacher! He was an amazing teacher! His class was always interesting! - I learned so much about giving speeches- that it has helped me in so many ways!
RIP Me Manning!

Dear Dortha,
So sorry to hear about your father, we would see him almost every week as we grocery shopped the same time and place. So many wonderful memories and who can forget his beautiful iconic voice. Love Bruce and Kelly Dauser
