Words can not begin to express what Coach Burke meant to Stephen "Stevo" Goewey, and myself. David took Stevo under his wing, and developed him as he was his own son. I could never ask for a better mentor. Because of him Stevo was able to learn to speak his mind, and stand by his convictions! Although many may perceive David as being "Gruff" few knew how big his heart really was! Stephen never got to meet my Father, but looked up to Coach Burke as his "Grandpa".
