Claude Russell Denney, 63, of Eubank, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.


He was born December 29, 1958 in Mount Vernon; son of the late Omer & Lillian (McKinney) Denney. He worked as a truck driver for super service and was a member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church.


He is survived by his wife, Karen (McDonald) Denney; a son, Cody & (Miranda) Denney of Eubank; a brother, Clinton & (Fern) Denney of Eubank; and his nieces & nephews, whom he adored, Lori & (Chad) Shivel, Matthew Mounce, and great-nieces, Kelsi & Aliyah Shivel, all of Eubank.


He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Randall Pete Denney; and a sister, Frances Denney.


A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating.


Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.


Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Karen and Cody, you have our sympathy. I know it is hard on you losing, Claude and your mom so close together. I know both were special to lots of people. Claude worked for Terry for a while and always talked about him being a good worker. Take care. Keep in touch sometime.
