I grew up in West Jefferson with the Landrum children and always had great respect for Herschel and Julia. They were both good people and great friends to many of us. Carol, Don & Larry, I am so sorry for your loss.

Mr. Landrum worked with my dad, Lloyd Malone, at US Steel. He was so kind to us when our dad had a debilitating stroke. We stayed at the hospital and missed meals. Mr. Landrum would bring us snacks and come by often to check on all of us. He was a very special person. Dad thought very highly of him.
