The Hon. Claude Owens was a lifelong family friend. We knew him and wife Betty while living in South Laguna after WW11. His dad, "Pop" Owens, had a house overlooking Coast Highway, near 9th St. beach where we spent many happy days.

A life well lived, you should all be so proud.
I was a motorcycle traffic officer for the City of Anaheim in the mid sixties. I had given a young lady a ticket who plead not guilty and we appeared before Judge Owens at Harbor Ct. She appeared with her mother and I was single then. The Judge ordered her and myself to go to lunch and discuss the ticket and come back afterwards. The Judge told her mother to remain there!
