Today is Sunday March 12, 2017. I just picked up the CD Mr Curly signed and gave me on June 30, 2016. I am playing it, I love WALKING DOWN THE OLD HOME ROAD. So I googled to see what he might be up to these days. I am saddened to read of his passing. I appreciate his autograph from the day we got to take him and the family fishing. Troy and Mrs Putman, I am very sorry to hear you no longer have Curly and his love and humor with you.

I was proud to call Curly a friend and honored to have written many songs with him. He was just the nicest guy and i enjoyed hundreds of lunches with him. The food was good but the laughter at our table was the highlight. I could go on and on about "Curls" but I'll just say he deserved every acalade he got and more. A country music legend. I loved the guy. My heart goes out to Bernice and Troy.

I am so sorry for the loss of Curly. He will be missed, and the memory of him puts a smile on my face as I think of all the kind things he did. So sorry for your pain Bernice, Troy, Beth, Ian, Ryan & Gina.
