My true and sincere condolences to the Taliaferro family. Mrs. Taliaferro, I pray that God will Bless you and yours with strength, peace, healing, and comfort for now and always. God Bless.

There is no greated epitaph I can give any man than to state I'd be no where near the man I am without his influence. At the beginning of my sophomore year at Roosevelt my family was unable to afford the football cleats necessary for me to begin football practice due to my father being laid off that summer from the steel mill. I so wanted to continue playing football that I broke down and cried in front of him and the other coaches. He put his arm around me and led me to the football closet...

Sending our thoughts and prayers to the family of Coach T. He was a wonderful Coach, Teacher, Mentor and just a great man. We will truly miss him and are grateful for the lessons he taught us as students at Roosevelt.

Rest in Heaven, Coach Taliaferro!

To coach Taliaferro and his family. I was deeply sadden when my father James Clay a 1967 Roosevelt alumni called me and told me coach Taliaferro had passed. Coach T. gave me the opportunity to play varsity football on the defensive side and offensive side and afforded me the opportunity to play in college. I will always remember his kindness. My deepest sympathies to Coach T. and his family.

I had the pleasure of being a student in Health and Safety Class under the instruction of Coach T. Coach Taliaferro made the class a true learning experience for his students. Condolences and prayers to the family.
