Not sure what to say?

As one of the "rectory rogues" as a young naval officer, I benefited greatly by Charles Vache's hospitality, playful humor, and wise counsel. Through many long conversations he had an important influence on my decision to seek ordination. In my ministry I sought to emulate his gracious concern and outreach to young people.

The Rev. Peter Gray, McLean, VA

Charles was a man of an angel's wit and singular learning. I know not his fellow. For where is the man of that gentleness, lowliness and affability? And, as time required, a man of marvelous mirth and pastimes, and sometime of as sad gravity...A man for all seasons.

He was loved by many for his good deeds in life. I cherish his memory.

Father Vache, Gayla and David Goodwin 1974

With my utmost love and respect to the memory of Right Rev. Charles Vache. His clarity, confidence and peace was always inspirational. I will not be able to make it back for the funeral, but know that my heart and prayers will be on the day of his memorial.

Love,
