It pains my heart to learn of the passing of my dear friend and former college schoolmate, Claudette Watts Camp. Memories of times spent with Claudette at the home of her sister, Dr. Vivian and Harrison DeShields, will remain with me forever. Claudette and I served on several statewide professional committees where we shared memories of times and friends, as students at ASU. Mrs. Camp had such a wonderful spirit and personality. She was our head librarian at Parker during my freshman and sophomore years. The summer prior to my freshman year, I spent so much time with her working in the library. My heart is truly broken to know that she is no longer with us. May her soul rest in eternal and perfect peace.
