Not sure what to say?

Spring turkey hunting on Claudia's beloved ranch will never be the same for my grandsons and me. She was a gracious hostess with a respect for the land and the creatures that thrived there. Her knowledge of the local flowers, trees, shrubs and bugs always amazed me. She was quick to get me on the right track when I was stumped. My condolences to her daughter, Alice and her children. Claudia was a love , and so specail to John K. Oehler, as was the Judge. What started as a business relationship many decades ago became a friendship. She was caring friend - happy in our joys and aiding in our sorrows. She was very special to me and I'll miss her greatly. My condolences to all others grieving her loss. Sadly, Patricia Barrett, aka, Pat from Boggs Oehler.

What a neat, neat lady! One of my most memorable experiences was in the mid '70's when I spent my Thanksgiving holidays from college at the ranch as a guest of my good friend "Nano". She welcomed me and treated me like one of the family. And remember when I got home I told my Mom that when I got married I wanted to marry someone just like Mrs. Ball. She was one of kind, and I am sure will be missed greatly. But I am just as sure there are many wonderful memories, such as I have that will live...

I had the distinct honor and pleasure to get to know Mrs. Claudia during my visit to her magnificant Hudspeth River Ranch each year, the first weekend of spring turkey season, along with five other people from Houma,La. I wish to express my sincere condolences to her family and friends. I too have lost a dear friend. I will keep Claudia and her family in my thoughts and prayers. I will have fond memories of her.

I enjoyed working with Claudia during Folk Life. She was a lot of fun and enjoyed coming to our meetings of the Hungarian Club. She was instrumental at getting a Hungarian exhibit at the Institute of Texan Cultures. My sympathy to the family. Rest in peace, Claudia.
