Not sure what to say?

I only had the pleasure of meeting Clay once when i met with Stanley to a apply for bat boy with Tacoma. I wont forget Clays smile when we shook hands. Like he knew me. I also bought several pairs of shoes at Stanleys Shoes. Im 82 now, and memories still in my mind. [email protected]

Clay was a member of the Northwest Pioneer Broadcasters and they have a wonderful remembrance of Clay and his very early years in radio and TV at www.apb.org

If you knew Clay, you will enjoy reading how he got started in radio ownership.

Clay was a true professional in everything he did. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Huntington family. He will be missed by all who knew him, worked with him or just called him a friend.

Clay touched so many lives and among them were my husband Ron and myself. I wish Ron was here to express his feelings. The years that Ron played for the Tacoma Giants in 1961,'62, and '63 were among the happiest for us and Clay was a big part of those years.

Of only a very small number of persons, other than one’s spouse or children, can it be said “I would be very sorry not to have known him/her”, or “My life has been substantially enriched by knowing him/her”. But, indeed, this is exactly the way we feel about Clay Huntington, an unforgettably gentle, gracious, generous, and understanding man, an individual who was virtually kindness personified. The many splendid comments already made about Clay in the newspaper and by friends and relatives...

Clay touched so many lives and he was such a big part of our lives when Ron played for the Tacoma Giants here in 1961, 62 and 63. I wish that Ron was still here so that he could express his feelings also. Clay will be missed by so many, but remembered with great affection.

Such a shock to hear of the passing of someone who allowed me to gain entry into the world of broadcasting in 1970, and with whom I worked until 1976, at KLAY-FM. His encouragement and faith in my abilities helped launch a management career I still enjoy, and his loss will be keenly felt by all. Thank you, Clay, for all the great years of service, and for believing in the best of all of us.
Heart-felt condolences to family and friends.
