Not sure what to say?

DEAR MICHELLE-TODAY I HEARD ABOUT CLAY FROM TED SCHMIDT. HE OWNED SOME LUGGAGE STORES MANY YRS AGO.
I WAS SADENED TO HEAR ABOUT CLAY.WHAT A SHOCK.
IT WAS NICE TO SEE THAT CLAY WAS ABLE TO TRANSITION
FROM HIS FATHERS STORES. THIS TO I AM SURE WAS NOT EASY.

ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT SEEN THE TWO OF YOU FOR YRS, I STILL REMEMBER ALL OF GOOD TIMES WE HAD WHEN I WOULD SELL ROLFS. WE NEVER DID PALY THE RAQUETBAALL
WE MENTIONED SO MANY TIMES.

I...

Clay and all of the ZUNI/Starz dads at the very wet campout at the Watsonville KOA.

Clay and Shaina joined the ZUNI tribe as Alexandra and myself. When I think of Clay, the two things that always stick out in my mind are: 1) he always took on his challenges with a positive and jovial approach 2) mostly he just enjoyed being a dad. We will miss him dearly.

Michelle ,
Our deepest condolences to you and your family.

My family’s deepest sympathy is with the Stern family at this time. I first met Clay in the fall of 2001 at the YMCA bike ride at Lake Almaden Park. While our daughters played and got to know each other, Clay and I talked. I knew from that moment on what a truly wonderful man he was. I enjoyed immensely the, albeit short, time that I knew him. His sense of fun was infectious and I will always remember him as the “Pit Boss/Dealer” in our gaming CaZino at the spring 2003 campout.

...

We too (Kaylee, Brenna and I) knew Clay, Shania and Cassie through the Y Adventures/Indian Princesses program. Clay had such a catching smile and laughter to him whenever we visited and talked. One of my favorite memories was a campout at the KOA Santa Cruz/Watsonville where Clay and the girls joined the rest of us for a wet but fun weekend. I am so glad we got to know him.

With Deepest sympathy to the Stern family in your loss.

The Lawler Family

Our deepest sympothy is with your family at this time. Ineke and I, and all of the ZUNI Stars were very fortunate to meet and interact with such a great man and father. This whole year has been void without his presence and we will greatly miss him. His happiness with his family and life shone through his conversations and personality. It is rare to meet such a fantastic guy, and we will miss him dearly.

Sincerely,

The Armstrong Family

I knew Clay through the Y Adventures / Indian Princesses program. His love for his daughters, and caring, nurturing nature were a joy to watch and experience. Someone I wished I knew better.

My heart goes out to his family.

I dearly loved Clay. He was one of the finest human beings I've ever known. I will miss him dearly.

Dear Michelle and family,

Our hearts are pouring out for you. Clay brought sunshine wherever he went. So happy to have been a small piece of his life.
