Sending thoughts of love and loss to you Jan and Steve and to your families as well.

I appeciated reading about your mom's life. Even though I knew her all those years, I didn't know her background. She was a liberated woman before we knew what that was.

I also remember what a great cook I thought she was. I still make a jello and cream cheese with nuts recipie that I had first at the lovely Devoto home on the lake.

To Steve and Jan: I was saddened to hear of Cleo's passing, and want you to know how very much we admired and enjoyed her in the years past. What a woman! Style, character, grace, and plain grit defined her in an age where women were to stay home and bake cookies! Special memories include an afternoon at your home on the lake, our horsemen connection, purchasing the mare April, or just watching Cleo drive in her Volvo (?) wagon to work in the vineyards in Big Valley.
